You've Gone Too Far!
I try to be calm and forgiving, but there are some things that just piss me off far too much to let go.
Rant one: Sexist Computer Lab Tech.
One day at college I was learning how to use a software package called "Minitab" (a statistics package) for an assignment my math teacher had given me. We needed to enter the data ourselves and though I don't admit to it I really prefer to keep my hands on the keyboard and do as much using the shortcuts as possible. To this end I was trying to find a way to "tab" between the fields as I was entering the sample data from the book. Since I didn't find any and the Help file was no help I called over the tech.
He sighed, rolled his eyes and came over. "To get to Hotmail you--"
"I don't want to check my Hotmail, my question is--"
"That's all you girls ever wanna know, is how to work Hotmail." Had he looked at the screen he would have seen my raw data and equations. Before I could respond he held up the mouse. "This is a pointer. See how when I move it the little arrow on the screen moves? Now see this little button on it? You push on it like this. Clicky clicky clicky."
Needless to say after my short black-out where apparently I toyed with the man by proving my superior knowledge of networking and computers in general I saved my work and found another lab with a tech who wasn't a complete sexist asshole. I'm pleased to say that when the idiot complained about me to the head of the IT department he was fired.
Rant Two: ...and injustice for all.
"All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law." That's one of the founding principles of our modern judicial system, right? Part of what makes our country so appealing is the idea that you don't have to prove your innocence--it's up to the prosecution to prove your guilt. Many don't realize the significant difference between these two. This system puts the burden of proof on the prosecution rather than the defendant. In the other kind of court it is assumed that the suspect commited the crime, and thus he or she is forced to prove their innocence. Admittedly, this method has it's advantages however which would you like to face should you be falsely accused? I don't know about you, but I want the other side to have to work their asses off to try and prove their case.
Yet how often do we as individuals presume another is guilty, even if there is no evidence? The parents of the little girl in Utah who was kidnapped by a religious fanatic were charged, tried, and convicted by many of the public for murder when they were truly victims.
Rant Three: ..Heartbreak Hotel..
Don't act like you know what the hell I'm going through. You don't know. You are the one who left ME, and just so you could move in with a whore you had never met before. You will never have my blessing; I will curse you and your spawn for eternity if you ask for it.
Don't you dare say you're sorry. You aren't. You're just trying to recieve forgiveness for ripping my heart out, stomping it flat, tearing it to pieces, then burning it to ashes. That way you won't feel guilty for shattering my soul. And you know what? You will never get it. I will never forgive you for stealing my dreams or for your betrayal. That's right, betrayal. You betrayed me. My trust. My friendship. My very soul that I had given you to guard forever. And I will hate you for it always. Now go away! I don't ever want to see you again!
...
...but before you go could you say you love me again?

No matter how crappy my stuff is it's still *my* stuff. Anyone found claiming my work as their own will be reported to the Proper Authorities and if necisary punished to the fullest extent of the law. It's not nice to steal other people's things. Didn't we all learn that in grammar school..? I do not own "A Ninja in 20XX", Chobits, Dragonball/Dragonball Z, Guyver, Harry Potter, Inu Yasha, Kyuuketsuki Hime Miyu, Mononoke Hime, Ranma Nibunoichi, Sinfest, X/1999, Pokémon, or any other well-known series whose names and/or images are found on this site. I use these names, characters, and images without permission and without profit as fanart, fanfiction, parodies, and 100x100 avatars. Please don't sue me--I'm just a fangirl.
